Descending Diamonds | Curly Maple Wood Sterling Silver Earrings

These natural and sustainably made earrings combine sterling silver and 100% solid, natural, and untreated Curly Maple wood in a geometric illusion design of seemingly overlapping diamonds. This unique design is carved out of the wood and has its accent lines burned in with a laser cutter / engraver. The design is engraved on BOTH sides. 

They are designed and made by hand in the USA with wood that is sustainably sourced from a small family lumber yard.  

These extremely lightweight earrings can easily be worn all day. You'll probably forget you're wearing them!

Untreated Curly Maple wood is a light creamy white wood with a natural wavy or "curly" pattern in the background. This pattern gives it a natural shimmer that almost looks iridescent or three-dimensional in some lights (even though the pattern itself is flat). As the wood is solid and natural and not a veneer or particle board, there will be natural variation in tone and grain for each pair of earrings. They are truly one of a kind!

NOTE: Wood can absorb water and warp or swell. Do not wear natural wood earrings in the shower, bath, or swimming pool.

ALSO NOTE: As the items in this shop are made by burning, some items may have a slight smoky smell when they arrive - like the smell you might have on your clothes after being near a campfire. If your items do smell a little smoky when you open your package, please be assured it *will* fade shortly.

Sustainability: The wood comes from a small US family-owned lumber company that obtains wood sustainably. Items are shipped in recyclable and biodegradable packaging. Jewelry is packaged in a brown kraft cotton filled jewelry box secured with a decorative twine bow and shipped in a cardboard box with brown crumpled paper packing material and sealed with paper packing tape. Note for those with cat allergies: These earrings are made in my workshop in my home, and I have two cats. All efforts are made to keep earrings and packing materials free of any allergens, but since the workshop is not physically separate from my home I cannot guarantee that the packaging will be 100% allergen-free.
