Pearl in the Garden (Mahogany, White Mother of Pearl, and Recycled Sterling Silver Earrings)

These elegant, swingy earrings combine 3 natural materials into one lovely pair of earrings. The darker brown of the natural Mahogany contrasts with the shimmery white of the mother of pearl beads, and the sterling silver findings tie it all together. Add in the stylized rose cutout in the mahogany, and you have jewelry that goes from work to an evening out with ease. Even with the beads, they still remain remarkably lightweight, so you avoid the pain that comes with wearing heavier earrings.    

These neutral, earth tone earrings are designed and made by hand in the USA with recycled sterling silver ear wires, sterling silver wire, mother of pearl beads, and 100% natural and untreated solid Mahogany wood. The wood is sustainably obtained (scroll down for more info) and cut using a laser cutter.

Untreated mahogany usually has a lovely medium-dark matte brown color, but it can also have slight pinkish or reddish undertones. As the wood is solid and natural and not a veneer or particle board, there will be natural variation in tone and grain. We use African Mahogany, not the endangered Honduran Mahogany.

TAKE CARE: Wood can absorb water and warp or swell. Do not wear natural wood earrings in the shower, bath, swimming pool, etc.

Sustainability: The wood comes from a small US family-owned lumber company that obtains wood sustainably. Sterling silver findings are all made with partially or 100% recycled sterling silver. Note for those with cat allergies: These earrings are made in my workshop in my home, and I have a cat. All efforts are made to keep earrings and packing materials free of any allergens, but since the workshop is not physically separate from my home I cannot guarantee that the packaging will be 100% allergen-free.
